Conformity Inspection by an authorized Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) designee is required for goods specified on this contract. Thirty (30) days prior to initial fabrication or assembly, the Seller shall provide Buyer’s Authorized Procurement Representative a manufacturing plan so that Conformity Inspection can be appropriately planned. Manufacturing and inspection records shall bear special identification designating FAA Conformity Inspection. Seller is required to provide the FAA Designee with engineering drawings, fabrication and test records and copies of any MRB actions, Seller shall make available all necessary calibrated tools required to perform conformity inspections.
Prior to FAA Conformity Inspection Seller will submit goods to Buyer’s Quality Assurance Representative who will initiate and complete FAA Form 8130-9 “Statement of Conformity” upon acceptance of Sellers hardware.
Buyer’s Authorized Procurement Representative will provide the name of the FAA Designee to be contacted for Conformity Inspection.
Seller shall contact the identified FAA Designee 14 days in advance of the time goods will be available for FAA Conformity Inspection. Seller shall include with each shipment a signed and completed copy of the FAA Form 8130-9 and assure that the original FAA Form 8130-3 “Airworthiness Approval” Tag signed by the FAA Designee is included with the goods.
